Let your voices be heard! – Community Meeting July 23rd

Sarasota, FL – July 11th, 2024 – The Newtown Business Council (NBC) and the City of Sarasota Office of Economic Development (OED) are thrilled to announce their participation in a year-long process to identify strategies for promoting equity in Sarasota. This initiative, part of the federal Equity Impact Investments program by the US Economic Development Administration, invites community leaders, advocates, and organizations to collaborate in shaping a more equitable future for Sarasota.

To kick off this important initiative, NBC and OED are hosting a community meeting on July 23rd at 6 PM at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, located at 1845 34th Street, Sarasota, FL. The meeting will focus on envisioning a thriving Newtown community and addressing key areas essential for growth and development.

  2. Arts and Culture
  3. Business and Financials
  4. Youth, Education, and Mentorship
  5. Community Safety and Security
